About Me
There are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened. We all have a choice. You can decide which type of person you want to be. I have always chosen to be in the first group.
As a YOUTH social worker, GENERATIONAL minded Graphic Designer, Web Developer, and a ICT inspired advocate, my role presently is to educate, Inform, connect and speak the truth about our situation without unnecessarily fanning Unhealthy racial/ tendencies (Xenophobic) within the society.
Currently, I am the C.E.O - www.cedishost.com , www.dwerksgraphix.com, www.idreamghana.com, I can now be affiliated in reference with organizations such as TakingITGlobal, W.A.I.T (With Abstinence I’m Treasured), YOUTH MATTERS GROUP , IdreamGHANA Initiative, African Youth Initiative (AYI) and with the WSIS process locally. I recognize the impact my involvement with these various organization has offered to my Community, Country, Continent and The World. And the Generations yet unborn will have a legacy wealth emulating and continuing with the help of other ICT practice.
I have felt drawn to try to write what young people might easily apprehend, as a help to them to make up that position in which the youthful life must be a success. It is as if there is not one of the challenges and failures, strategies of youthful life (our generation X) that is not met here.
The approach, the Dynamism, the natural pressures of the environment we live in,
the vulnerability, our will power and decisions, are so revealed, that, it is as if one could with Boldness or Power say, let the wisdom, experiences of our fathers “Generation Y” enter into the Hearts and Minds, “Generation X” and all will be well.
The Origin of our name
The land called Africa today and inhabited by us has on different occasions been referred to by various names:
Akebu-Lan (Hebrew): Most indigenous persons
Mother of Humankind- the Garden of Eden theory
Moors (Libya)
Nubians (Sudan)
Carthaginians (Libya)
Aithiopia
Egyptians
Source: original Afrikan Heritage Study Bible, edited by Rev. Cain Hope Felder
The Romans gave Africa the current name after they had conquered the city of Carthage and the northern coastlands.
In Latin: unknown/Dark-skinned, depending on context employed.
Cush (ites): A Hebrew word, which in Greek means Aithiopia, inferring “Burnt face” or Dark Skinned (the linkage with Nimrod the great hunter)
If you tell a people that they are inferior long enough,
they eventually begin to believe it and thereby act as such”
Dr. Anthony T. Evans
I want to share few thoughts with my brothers and friends from the various African countries. How are we doing as Africa? Before Colonialization? During Colonialization? After Colonialization? The Concepts: Field Nigger, House Nigger
This produced a grasshopper mentality, which resulted in inflated egos, unity and capabilities.
They were promoted to a place of:
Power,
Prestige,
Wealth,
Superiority, and
Unlimited opportunity
Our challenge as young people is to over-come this complex which has the potential to erode the very foundation of our person-hood and go forward from there.
