Hawaiʻi Island Pre-Congress Workshop: Young Professionals Development Kīpaepae Michael Furdyk A two-day program has been developed to help 50 young, dynamic, and emerging global leaders build their collective foundation for effectively engaging the IUCN’s World Conservation Congress. As each stone in the kīpaepae contributes individually to the eventual structure, so too will each participant contribute to building a foundation for effective conservation work. To this end, all participants will participate in biocultural restoration on Hawaiʻi Island, and in this participation, will experience management that seeks to realize conservation as relationship with and reverence for place.

Young People at the 2016 IUCN World Conservation Congress in Hawaii!! Liamjod Join us on our journey to the World Conservation Congress in Hawaii Sept 2016 as we prepare a pre-Congress Gathering for young peoples, various Congress events and activities, and a post-Congress Gathering to share with the public. Help us co-create opportunities to 'give back' and leave the places we visit better than when we arrived. Help us bring an intergenerational force into the General Assembly and IUCN policy as created through the resolutions process. Help us share the incredible work of young people from all around the planet to make this world a better more beautiful place.
