He died on Wednesday, Sept. 4, six days before his 82nd birthday.Born in Calgary, Morton joined the Canadian military in 1954 and retired as a captain in 1964. He joined UTM as a history teacher in 1970, when it was then known as Erindale College, and became principal in 1986.In a statement released by the school, UTM acting vice=president and principal Ian Orchard said Morton played a critical role in building UTMs strong ties with our local community.
