The grants go towards community organizations that help low and moderate-income families in improving their living conditions including helping them navigate the home buying process and avoiding mortgage scams, foreclosures, and high interest rates. This is a smart investment in helping families find and keep their homes, said HUD Secretary Ben Carson. Quite simply, knowledge is power.
