Walk for Wildlife

Celebrate National Wildlife Week, April 4 – 10, 2010 and the International Year of Biodiversity by taking part in the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s 1st Annual Walk for Wildlife.

Make “Wildlife Matters to Me” your personal pledge during National Wildlife Week. Head outdoors to discover Canada’s biodiversity right in your own backyard. Then tell us how far you went for wildlife by logging your kilometres on-line as part of the Walk for Wildlife.

Walk for Wildlife will kick off on Sunday, April 4 and wrap up on May 22, International Day of Biodiversity. Along the way, we will send you progress reports and talk about the wildlife that will be joining us on our journey across the country. Our goal is have enough kilometres logged to go right across Canada and create national awareness about wildlife conservation and biodiversity.

You can –

Get started on your Walk for Wildlife by clicking on My Walk and registering.  Then, go outside and enjoy wildlife in your neck of the woods.  Gather your friends, family, colleagues, school and group mates together and make it a team effort.   The more you walk, the more you will help us make our on-line journey across the country and show support for Canada’s wildlife and the places they call home.

Visit our Community to find out more ways you can get involved in the Walk for Wildlife.

So, come on Canada. Get outside and enjoy the wonders of our native wildlife and wild spaces during National Wildlife Week.
